WTA to integrate US Army's live, virtual and constructive training support

7 May 2008

The Warrior Training Alliance, led by Raytheon Technical Services, has begun integrating the US Army's live, virtual and constructive training under the Warfighter FOCUS (Field Operations Customer Support) program.

RTSC won the 10-year contract last summer. Since the programme was awarded, the team has spent the last several months on transition activities to ensure the programme would be ready to start on 1 May.

"We have completed the transition process and are positioned to provide world-class training support for our warfighters around the globe," said Mike Edwards, RTSC vice president and programme manager for the Warrior Training Alliance.

The Warfighter FOCUS program, under the Programme Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation, will consolidate operations and maintenance, systems integration and engineering support services for the Army's live, virtual and constructive training systems. The programme is operated by the Raytheon-led Warrior Training Alliance, which is composed of industry leaders with highly relevant areas critical to the Warfighter FOCUS program's success.
